About Vital Recap.
Vital Recap publishes plain-language guides to everyday health questions — the kind you might look up before an appointment, after a conversation with your insurer, or while helping a family member make sense of their options.
01 What we cover
Our guides are organized into a small set of topics so you can find related reading quickly:
02 How we write
- Plain language. We explain medical and insurance terms in everyday words and put the key points first.
- Reputable public sources. We base our explanations on publicly available information from government health agencies, professional organizations and peer-reviewed research, and we point readers to those sources where it helps.
- Kept up to date. Health guidance, drug information and coverage rules change. We revisit articles and revise them when the underlying information changes.
- Balanced and practical. We aim to describe options fairly, including common costs and questions worth asking, without promoting any particular product or provider.
03 What we are not
Vital Recap is an information publisher. We are not a medical provider, and nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment plan or personalized medical, legal or financial advice. Reading an article here does not create a doctor–patient or any other professional relationship.
Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your own symptoms, medicines and decisions. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
04 Corrections & feedback
If you spot something that is out of date, unclear or incorrect, please tell us. Include the article link and what you think should change — we review every report and update the article when a correction is needed.
